Movies are very influential on people, including me. I have seen a few movies this weekend that have are very different. On Friday night I saw Wreck-It Ralph, that movie was so good. It brought back so many memories of when I was a child and the games that I used to play. Today I also saw a certain movie in the theaters and it was supposed to be really good. Then as I started watching it they had foul language, sexual innuendos and many adult comments. Mind you the movie was PG-13. I was happy to leave. It made me disgusted with society and how Hollywood has made sexual things very "common" and not the precious thing that it is. I thought my experience related to what we talked about Sex in the media. I am very disappointed in the contents of movies. I think integrity is dwindling in society, especially.

  1. I agree! Good job for leaving :) It's so not worth it to feel crappy by watching movies like that.

  2. I was wondering how Wreck it Ralph was...glad to hear it's good. I decided this weekend that I love girl movies from the 90s (You've Got Mail, Serendipity, Step Mom). Essentially they're pretty clean and just have a cute or sad, simple story. Movies now are just so intense, gory, or vulgar. Which is really noticeable when I spend time watching movies from the 90s or other eras.

  3. I've wondered about Wreck it Ralf, would you recommend it for younger kids? My kids want to watch it, but I wonder about the violence (since it's about video games!)
